Position Overview:

The Inventory Count Coordinator is part of the manufacturing support operation and is responsible for ensuring proper reconciliation of the inventory within the facility. This role will focus on daily cycle counts, physical inventory counts and electronic transactions for raw materials, work-in-process and finished goods in the ERP system (SAP) to ensure compliance with company policies and inventory controls. This role involves collaborating with various teams across the organization to implement process improvements and corrective actions. This is a Medical Device manufacturing site compliant to 21 CFR/ISO 13485 regulations.

This position requires working an 8-hour shift; however, business needs may necessitate the need to adjust shift times and durations.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure safety awareness and adherence to all safety policies to minimize safety risks.
  • Comply with company policies, standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform cycle counts on raw materials, non-conforming materials and finished goods in accordance with daily and weekly cycle count schedules. Recommend and develop process enhancements as needed.
  • Work closely with the Warehouse, Material Control and Operations teams to identify root-causes for inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
  • Conduct and attend Biweekly meetings for non-conforming raw materials.
  • Collaborate with the Supplier Quality and Supplier Engineering teams to confirm component counts in ERP system (SAP) to support containment and disposition of non-conforming inventory.
  • Maintain accurate inventory locations, record of daily cycle counts and perform material transfers if required.
  • Collaborate with finance, and internal and external auditors. Provide necessary documentation during audits.
  • Assists with weekly and monthly metric tracking and reporting on KPI’s.
  • Train team members in proper inventory count procedures and use of SAP inventory management system.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma, GED
  • Associate’s degree in business, Supply Chain or related field preferred.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience in inventory management, logistics or related field.
  • Experience in a warehouse environment.

Preferred Skills and Competencies:

  • Must be proficient in English language to be able to read documentation, work instructions and communicate effectively.
  • Familiarity with description (specification, units of measure, application) of material to perform accurate cycle counting.
  • Experience with ERP software like SAP, Oracle or Microsoft Dynamics
  • Proficient in business environment software applications – MS Office
  • Effective communication skills to coordinate with multiple departments.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Highly motivated, proactive problem solver, and a self-starter that can work both independently and in a team environment with minimal supervision.

Physical Requirements (if applicable):

  • Must be able to lift and transfer loads up to 30-50 lbs.
  • Must be able to operate manual pallet jacks.
  • Must be able to stand and bend up to 8 hours a day.
  • Required to lift above the shoulder frequently and below the waist occasionally.
  • Familiarity with ergonomic lifting techniques

Compensation & Benefits: For U.S.-based positions only, the annual base salary range for this role is $20.45 - $30.68 This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation.
