Job Description:
Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Logistics Coordinator I to join our team in Mobile, AL on First Shift.
You will be a part of a team that reports to the FAL Logistics Manager and will work within a multifunctional team as the focal on logistical issues. The overall purpose of the role is to support operations by logistics line-side feed in partnership with the Logistics Service Provider (LSP) interface. Scope of activity is Single Aisle Final Assembly Line.

Your Working Environment:
Nearby on ‘Airbus Way’ you will find the Airbus U.S. Manufacturing Facility for commercial aircraft. Opened at the Mobile Aeroplex at Brookley in 2015, the facility produces A320 Family aircraft and added a second product line for the A220 in 2019. The facility, which strengthens the U.S. aerospace industry, is part of Airbus’ strategy to enhance its global competitiveness by meeting the growing needs of its customers in the United States and beyond.
Your Challenges:
Working knowledge of supply chain and physical logistics processes and existing background of processes in departments within the proximity of logistics (e.g. quality, production, information systems, manufacturing engineering) are required.
Strong ability to apply acquired know-how to the FAL USA perimeter to consequently secure AIRBUS standards and requirements.
A strong analytical skills to reveal problems and to be eager to develop stable solutions by using existing procedures.
Proven international team working skills and excellent communication are essential to this position.
Identify and evaluate disruptions in the Supply Chain and improve related processes
Coordinate and expedite the flow of materials within or between departments according to production schedule
Understanding and application of Lean Manufacturing philosophies and techniques
Manage missing parts lists in coordination with Production and FAL Hamburg Back Office
Track and trace the physical position and status of material and material delivery units
Provide Line Side Support in case of logistical problems
Follow up reordering process for non conforming material with high priority
Coordinate reassignment of aircraft parts including the corresponding documentation
Initiate the scrap and return process for non conforming material
Support operations line side on rework/concession parts supply
Act as Autonomous Production Team (APT) focal for Logistic Service Provider and 3rd Party on site support
Ensure close cooperation/coordination with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, Information Systems
Other duties as assigned.
Your Boarding Pass:
A Bachelor’s Degree, technical degree or combination of education and experience focused in business administration or supply chain and logistics is preferred.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in supply chain and logistics, in material management preferably in aviation manufacturing, assembly or MRO.
May substitute supply and logistics experience for similar focus areas such as relevant customer service, etc.
Working knowledge of supply chain and physical logistics processes and understanding of the principles, methods and IT-tools used.
Strong analytical skills enabling you to identify and resolve problems and find innovative methods to apply existing procedures to create new solutions.
Demonstrated ability to acquire knowledge and apply it to real time assignments.
Understanding of the necessity to establish and maintain AIRBUS standards and requirements at the A320 FAL-USA.
Knowledge of relevant health, safety and environmental legislation and regulations.
Have extensive knowledge in various computer programs and systems
Must possess effective verbal and written communications skills.
Proficiency in English is required, whereas fluency in other languages is highly desirable.
Knowledge of common business applications such as SAP

Physical Requirements:
Vision: adequate to enter and read material on computer screens. Able to observe manufacturing operations including equipment as well as individual tasks.
Hearing: able to hear sufficiently to engage in conversation in office settings and on the production floor and flight line. Able to hear safety alerts and warning signals.
Speaking: able to engage in conversations in person and via electronic means and deliver information to groups of varying size with or without amplification.
Equipment Operation Able to operate a wide range of personal and office electronic equipment.
Carrying: able to occasionally carry up to 50lbs/22kg when engaging in training, addressing production issues or as part of continuous improvement projects.
Lifting: able to occasionally lift up to 50lbs/22kg.
Pushing/Pulling: able to push/pull items in production and/or office areas.
Sitting: able to sit for extended periods of time at the computer, in meetings and observing production processes.
Squatting/Kneeling: able to occasionally squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items shelved on bottom shelves.
Standing able to stand for extended periods of time, often on concrete floors observing production operations or delivering information.
Travel: able to travel overseas and domestically sometimes for extended periods of time.
Walking: able to walk through office and production areas, around flight lines and airstrips and sometimes on uneven indoor and/or outdoor surfaces.
