Program Summary 

The KBR Metrology team supports manufacturing, engineering & test, repair & overhaul, and aftermarket service centers globally in support of Aerospace & Defense, Automotive, Medical, Safety, Semiconductor and other industries.  Our support includes services such as complete management of embedded metrology systems, calibration and repair, test & inspection, metrology engineering, preventive maintenance, NADCAP special process support, and AMS2750 Heat Treat pyrometry services and more.  Our teams are located across the globe working in KBR and customer embedded laboratories as well as performing onsite visits with our field service operations and mobile laboratory platforms.  Our teams work to ensure our customer systems are maintained to high standards through calibration, preventative maintenance, automation and programming, calibration recall system management, and audit support.  We ensure great customer experience by tracking and providing performance and delivery metrics through digital dashboards, as well as routine customer service surveys and direct customer meetings.

Job Summary 

Logistic Clerks will provide day to day support for the Metrology Program by logistically coordinating equipment for calibration and repairs between Lab Standards and Customer equipment.

Roles and Responsibilities  

  • Under minimal supervision, coordinates and expedites the flow of equipment to vendors. Establishes and communicates completion dates for deliverable.
  • Administratively receive equipment from vendors and coordinate with leads to process back into our system.
  • Coordinates the interface between logistics functions such as transportation, maintenance and warehousing to ensure efficient, timely, and cost effective support to the customer.
  • Coordinates with customers to ensure desired logistics objectives, priorities, and schedules are met and communicated to management.
  • Coordinates with Environmental, Safety, and other Shared Services functional areas as appropriate in regard to logistical functions performed under contract.
  • Coordinates and conducts pick up and delivery of measuring equipment with customers, employees, and management.
  • Follows established standard work instructions ensuring quality throughout the processes.
  • Creates shippers in the SAP system, coordinate with shipping departments to ensure process completion.
  • Maintains related records.
  • Packages equipment for shipping, ensuring all required paperwork is attached appropriately and billing the appropriate accounts.
  • Contacts vendors by mail, email, or phone to coordinate RMA/RFQ's, expected completion, tracking of shipments.  Update system to reflect most current status.
  •  Performs all other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

 

  • Must have a valid US driver’s license.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent and Two year of directly related work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of SAP or other tracking system with regard to receiving transactions.
  • Experience with Microsoft office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Specific contract requirements regarding education and experience will prevail.
