Role Summary
Location: Fulltime onsite, Olive Branch, MS
The Logistics Analyst is the day-to-day owner of all inbound activity- receiving, inspection, put-away, and system accuracy- within HP’s distribution centers. Operating as a hands-on, data-driven individual contributor, the role bridges floor execution with analytics: coordinating closely with 3PL partners, Transportation, Inventory, and Quality teams to ensure every shipment is processed safely, on time, and right the first time. This position will be onsite at our east coast DC in Olive Branch, MS.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily inbound operations, ensuring accurate and timely receipt, inspection, and put-away of materials and products in accordance with HP’s quality and safety standards.
- Analyze inbound logistics processes using data analytics, process mapping, and root cause analysis to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
- Lead and support process improvement initiatives focused on optimizing inbound flow, reducing cycle times, minimizing errors, and enhancing inventory accuracy.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain, Procurement, Warehouse, IT, and Transportation teams to coordinate inbound shipments, resolve discrepancies, and ensure alignment with business requirements.
- Monitor and report on KPIs such as dock-to-stock time, receiving accuracy, put-away cycle time, and supplier performance.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for inbound-related issues, facilitating resolution of exceptions, damages, and non-conformances.
- Partner with Inventory & Quality teams to perform receiving inspections, discrepancy investigations, and root-cause analyses; issue corrective-action requests to suppliers as needed
- Develop and maintain SOPs for inbound operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Train and coach warehouse staff on best practices for receiving, inspection, and put-away processes.
- Support physical inventory counts and cycle-count variance research related to inbound transactions.
- Prepare weekly and monthly inbound dashboards for DC leadership, highlighting trends, risks, and action plans.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, or equivalent practical experience.
- 4+ years of experience in receiving or inbound operations within a distribution, fulfillment, or manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of ERP/WMS platforms (e.g., SAP) and proficiency with Excel and data-visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to translate data into clear operational actions.
- Familiarity with basic import documentation (ASNs, packing lists, BOLs) and carrier appointment processes.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to influence 3PL teams, carriers, and internal stakeholders without direct authority
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a 3PL-operated facility or technology/hardware supply chain.
- Lean, Six Sigma, or APICS certification (e.g., CSCP, CPIM).
- Exposure to CTPAT, ISO 9001, or similar compliance frameworks.
- Working knowledge of EDI/XML transactions related to inbound logistics.
- Familiarity with HP’s products, distribution models, or technology sector best practices.
The base pay range for this role is $59,350 to $89,600 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to US candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
