Job Description:

The role of the Logistics Supervisor is to coordinate and oversee logistics, warehousing, stock inventory, assets management and other administrative services required at the WV Solomon Islands Country Program office and for provincial team under the grant. He/ she will work closely with Procurement coordinator and other stakeholders in World Vision and within Ministry of Health and Medical Services for the provision of general and specialized services pertaining to the grant including health product management and effective LLIN program (Long lasting insecticidal Net) program.

This role is also to segregate duties from regular administration tasks of the grant and country program office which will be handled by other team members.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Logistics: Timely delivery of goods/commodities to Implementing Partners and other stakeholders for the Program. This includes the health products procured under the grant and also LLINs (Malaria program)

  • LLIN Operations

  • Supply chain support

  • Stakeholder coordination and networking including contractor management

  • Administration support including Fixed asset management

KNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE:

  • Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in procurement and logistics, supply chain management.

    Leading diverse teams involved in SCM

  • Degree or Diploma in Supply chain management

  • Degree or Diploma in Business administration

  • Masters in health / business administration or project management or relevant fields will be an advantage

  • Driving

    license valid in Solomon Islands for heavy vehicle (if required for the role)

  • Good understanding of key functions of the administration and logistics field in Solomon Islands

  • Knowledge of warehousing standards and good practices.

  • Ability to analyze problems and provide recommendations or solution

  • Team player and good communicator

  • Demonstration of networking and collaboration skills

  • Proven experience as a team player

  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Office suites including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
