Job Description:

Keep operations on track and your career in motion as a Logistics Analyst Senior at GDIT. Your work supporting supply chain and logistics at GDIT will power global missions and your long-term career growth.

As a Logistician you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter by supporting the mission of PM FPS (Product Manager, Force Protection Systems to include the full life cycle of logistics to support the current combat operations.

How you will make an impact on the mission:

  • Adapt and function in a rapid paced, time sensitive, high-quality environment who will support the customer’s logistics requirements through the analysis, organization, planning, and administration of various phases of day-to-day provisioning, spares, maintenance, and/or repair activities conceptual stage through life cycle of product and other duties as assigned within in the scope of the position requirements of an IBD-SS logistician

  • Develops and implements logistics program activities including ILS, technical documentation, RAM, provisioning, etc.; coordinates efforts of subcontractors and field service personnel; resolves logistics problems; and compiles data on standardization and interchangeability of parts to expedite logistic activities

  • Maintain inventory control processes to account for property received, shipped, excess, moved, or in transit

  • Provide material handling coordination support to include shipping, receiving, storage, and disposition of property, inspect inbound inventory for accuracy and completeness, defects or notable damage and log/report discrepancies.

  • Perform data entry, research, and documentation of receiving issues in GCSS-A, COLTS, or other government, program, or company database

  • Use a floor jack or forklift when loading or unloading pallets, if not currently Forklift Certified must obtain forklift certification

  • Generate documentation and completing required forms for shipping to include Performa, ITAR, and other shipping documents and labels such as those required for hazardous materials

  • Interact with vendors, OEMs, FSRs and other customers to obtain information, reconcile inventory discrepancies, prepare RMAs, and obtain EDD/ECD dates

  • Maintain control of the Authorized Stockage Listing (ASL) and perform required inventories/audits.

  • Import/Export (ITAR/EXIM) compliance experience with military transportation & logistics, MILAIR, USTRANSCOM, etc. and familiarity with DOD logistics practices and forms, such as DD250, DD1348, DD1149,

  • Maintain and provide support to all missions supporting PM FPS - IBD-SS II in all logistical functions as required

What You’ll need to succeed

Education: Associates of Arts/Associates of Science (years of experience in lieu of degree)

Experience: 7+ years of related logistics experience (9 years without AA/AS)

US Secret Security Clearance Required (Day One; Must maintain active clearance)

Role Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience with data entry, research, and documentation of receiving issues in GCSS-A, COLTS, or other government, program, or company database

Able to obtain and/or maintain forklift certification

​Must be willing to support up to an 84-hour Extended Work Week or work week assigned to PDY or TDY work week based on mission requirements including travel within SWA as required (Inclusive of Travels via military/commercial conveyances to outlying areas to support mission)

  • Must be capable of meeting standards of fitness for deployment to the SWA of Operations to comply with CRC requirements; Must be able to successfully be capable of meeting standards of fitness for deployment to the SWA of Operation yearly while residing on contract in SWA

  • Ability to withstand physical demands of seasonal hot or cold temperatures and willing to live and operate in an austere environment with the ability to meeting physical demands of the position that can included but not limited to: ability to lift 50 lbs. climb ladders, kneel, squat, stand, bending, carrying, climbing, hearing extreme noise levels, and other physical requirements to meet the position requirements

The likely salary range for this position is $76,500 - $103,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.

Total compensation for international positions varies by tax, social security, and immigration statuses, as well as location. Generally, an international assignment may include allowances, premium uplifts, and/or relocation or transportation benefits, above base salary range noted.
