Section I – JOB DESCRIPTION

PURPOSE OF POSITION

  • Ensures an efficient performance of the Branch/Business Center
  • Markets the products and services of VFT-MFB
  • Ensures adequate information flow within the branch

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

30% Does clients recruitment and orientation to VFT- MFB LIMITED loan products and Services

  • Markets VFT- MFB LIMITED loan products and services and finds clients in designated areas of operation
  • Screen clients according to the loan products eligibility criteria
  • Trains Clients on VFT- MFB LIMITEDs’ Credit Policies and Procedures as per the set policies for each loan product
  • Ensures that Branch Manager/Loan supervisor asses clients on their understanding to the loan policies and procedures
  • Carries out Business visit to clients with a view to verifying if the business produces a regular income to enable the client to pay back the loan
  • Conducts cash flow analysis and credit investigation and background investigation to determine client’s credit worthiness and character
  • Open and maintain client’s files and ensure that all required information is filed according to the laid down policies
  • Responsible for recruiting credit worthy borrowers.
  • Ensure all clients receiving loans has business and are residents;
  • Ensures all loans are genuinely guaranteed
  • Ensures clients are well-known by local leaders/village authorities

15% Process loan applications

  • Ensures that clients read and understand each and every loan processing form before filling
  • Assists clients in filling and completing loan application forms and ensures that the forms are properly filled and affixed with clients’ photos
  • Facilitates deposits of the required cash security savings into the VFT- MFB LIMITED Bank Account
  • Ensures that clients complete all other collateral requirements as per the set policies according to the loan products
  • Fills Loan checklist and loan assessment and recommendation form.
  • Presents the loan applications to the branch credit committee

Good compliance

Manages and controls loan repayment

  • Adhere to the zero tolerance policy of loan repayment
  • Responsible in ensuring that repayment of loans is done as per the agreed schedules 
  • Immediate and close follows up on all delinquent loans to ensure on time repayment
  • Responsible in ensuring that fines are instituted where and when appropriate according to the set policies and procedure

markets VFT-MFB loan products/champions growth

  • Plans & initiates promotional measures within target market of the branch
  • Ensures the monthly targets are met
  • Ensures he is a good VFT ambassador to the public and at all-time keeps & sales good image of VFT

Provide quality and good customer service to clients

  • Review legal documents and security files of approved loans
  • Develop & maintains good working relations with client
  • Responsible for ensuring quality and good customer service at all times
  • Advice branch/business center on clients complains and other customer care related issues

  • Ensures timely submission to Branch/business center daily and weekly reports
  • Provide feedback to branch/business center staff of strategic issues, business matters and changes
  • Reports unethical behaviour around him to the audit and investigator
  • Implements and communicate audit issues

Minimum education, training and experience requirements to qualify for the position:

List academic, technical skills or other knowledge required as a minimum qualification for this position.

  • Bachelor Degree in Business Administration or Accounting or public relations e.t.c
  • Very good knowledge of oral & written English
  • Very good analytical & reporting skills
  • Field experience in credit management and savings & deposit operations

List additional work experience required as a minimum qualification for this position.

  • Good knowledge of VFT, WV &VFI Partnership
  • Proficient in Microsoft office application
  • Excellent trainer, facilitator, mentor and coach
  • Capacity & willingness to take responsibility and develop sense of rectitude
  • Familiar with Core business
