About This Job
The main purpose of this job is to work closely with loan officers, credit analysts and clients in the coordination of the entire loan process --- application, loan documentation and closing. Conducts some maintenance on all loan types
Essential Functions
Receive applications/approved loans and prepare documents for all loan types; may work and coordinate documents with outside attorneys
Document and close all loan types with little to no assistance being provided regardless of the loan's complexity (i.e. participations/syndications; complex structures; complex entities, etc.)
Oversee the collateral and security-perfection process for loan closings
Prior to closing, review loan files to ensure completeness; review process includes, but is not limited to, proper vesting, security descriptions, dates and signatures
Assist in training new associates and collaborate on developing training plans
Facilitate loan Booking and Funding (disbursements), perform post-closing follow-up which includes, but is not limited to, confirmation of complete and properly signed documents/checklists and that all insurance requirements have been met
Answer inquiries concerning loan processing and servicing
Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
Extensive experience in at least three of the four loan types: consumer, commercial, residential or construction and is relied upon by fellow associates to provide assistance with their loan type
Strong knowledge of RESPA, TRID/Regulation Z (Truth-in-Lending), Flood Disaster Protection Act, Equal Credit Opportunity Act, Fair Housing Act and Fair Credit Reporting Act, etc.
Ability to prepare loan documentation, process and close all loan types
Strong knowledge of legal requirements of lien perfection and loan compliance
Excellent proofreading and organizational skills
Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
Inquisitive, agile, and strong team player with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values
Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience required
4+ years’ experience in loan documentation/closings required
