JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a skilled Performance Test Engineer with deep, recent hands-on expertise in LoadRunner Enterprise and Apache JMeter to support an engagement focused on high-volume script development and performance test execution. This role is heavily scripting-focused, requiring advanced VuGen (C required) experience across multiple protocols (HTTP, SAP, SOAP, etc.) and the ability to design, execute, and analyze load, stress, endurance, and capacity tests for COTS, SaaS, and custom applications. The engineer will collaborate with Application Architects and Product Owners to translate requirements into performance scenarios, integrate with Dynatrace and Splunk for monitoring insights, troubleshoot authentication challenges (LDAP, SAML, SSO), and identify both application and infrastructure bottlenecks across AWS and Azure environments. The ideal candidate is highly proficient, self-sufficient, Agile-experienced (Jira/Confluence), comfortable in Microsoft environments, and brings a collaborative, communicative, and humble approach to driving performance optimization initiatives.
SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Design, develop, enhance, and execute high-volume performance test scripts using LoadRunner Enterprise (VuGen) and Apache JMeter across multiple protocols (HTTP, SAP, SOAP, etc.).

Plan and execute comprehensive performance testing efforts, including Load, Stress, Endurance, and Capacity testing.

Collaborate with Application Architects, Product Owners, and technical teams to translate requirements into effective performance test scenarios and measurable outcomes.

Troubleshoot complex scripting challenges including correlation, parameterization, and dynamic content handling.
-
Analyze performance metrics and monitoring data to identify application and infrastructure bottlenecks.

Integrate LoadRunner with Dynatrace and Splunk to support workload modeling, root cause analysis, and performance insights.

Diagnose and resolve authentication-related issues (e.g., LDAP, SAML, SSO) within performance scripts.

Support performance testing across COTS, SaaS, and custom-built applications deployed in on-prem, AWS, and Azure environments.

Investigate and troubleshoot Performance Center infrastructure issues (e.g., memory constraints, controller/generator limitations).

Document test strategies, execution results, and recommendations in Confluence and communicate findings clearly to stakeholders.

Participate in Agile ceremonies, contribute to story refinement, and provide proactive status updates within a collaborative team environment.

Recommend performance testing best practices and continuous improvements based on current LoadRunner capabilities and industry standards.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Extensive, recent hands-on experience with LoadRunner Enterprise (required) and Apache JMeter

Advanced VuGen scripting expertise (C required) with strong proficiency in correlation, parameterization, and dynamic data handling

Experience developing performance test scripts across multiple protocols (e.g., HTTP, SAP, SOAP)

Proven ability to plan, execute, and analyze Load, Stress, Endurance, and Capacity tests at scale

Strong analytical skills with experience capturing, interpreting, and reporting performance metrics to stakeholders

Experience integrating LoadRunner with Dynatrace and Splunk for monitoring and root cause analysis

Solid troubleshooting experience with authentication mechanisms (e.g., LDAP, SAML, SSO)

Experience testing COTS, SaaS, and custom-built applications in complex enterprise environments

Working knowledge of AWS and Azure environments

Strong programming knowledge in one or more languages (C required; Python, Perl, ABAP, Java, or C++ preferred)

Experience working in Agile environments, including Jira and Confluence documentation

Comfortable working in Microsoft-based environments and collaborating via Teams

Excellent communication skills with a collaborative, team-oriented, and proactive approach

SALARY RANGE: $120,000 to $160,000 DOE
