Salary: £70,929 - £86,691
Hours: Full time
Working Pattern: We'll need you to be based in East Scotland or North East England regions for this role as the territory covers this geographical areas. You'll work flexibly, splitting your time between 'on the road' meeting clients face to face and working from home.
Cardnet is Lloyds banking Group’s card payment acceptance service. We help businesses to take payment by credit or debit card in person, online and when the cardholder is not present. Cardnet is a joint venture between Lloyds Banking Group and Fiserv. Fiserv are one of the world’s largest card processors.
About this opportunity:
We're looking for an Associate Director who'd be responsible for facing off to the SME coverage team to win new Cardnet business for existing LBG franchise customers as well new business acquisition from external business development activity. In both scenarios there will be a sales delivery expectation through promoting the growing range of technology led solutions provided by Cardnet directly with business customers.
What you'll be doing:
In this field-based role, no two weeks are the same. You'll use your self-motivation and determination to effectively schedule your own time to meet your varied commitments.
You could be drawing on your expert knowledge to deliver presentations, portfolio reviews and training to key bank colleagues, enabling them to identify and meet their customers’ card processing needs.
On other days you'll be out in the field, either virtually or physically, conducting meetings with prospective clients you have identified from your extensive network.
Your business development skills will allow you to guide these customers from initial discussion, through to agreement and implementation. Maintaining a dynamic and active pipeline of new business opportunities is a critical requirement of the role.
Using your excellent judgement, you'll put the customer at the centre of all activities.
You'll have excellent business development and negotiation abilities along with a real determination to deliver. Using your customer focused approach, you'll ensure that doing the right thing for customers is at the heart of all your recommendations and decision making.

What you'll need:
An outstanding client/ business development background
Existing merchant acquiring experience, with specialist knowledge of card acquiring, payments and data solutions
Ability to build and maintain partner relationships at all levels
An outstanding client development and profit performance record with proven success in negotiating
It would also be useful if you had:
An up to date knowledge of Industry related technical development
Knowledge of relevant third-party suppliers (e.g. technology) and partners
