Job Description:

Major Responsibilities

Program Coordination

  • Develop and oversee livelihood and resilience strategies aligned with MER objectives.
  • Coordinate with project teams, partner teams, local authorities, and community committees for smooth implementation.
  • Liaise with key government, non-governmental organizations, UN-agencies and private sector partners for resource mobilization and technical collaboration.

Technical Support including Capacity Building

  • Provide technical guidance on livelihood recovery, income-generating activities, and resilience-building measures.
  • Ensure integration of disaster risk reduction (DRR) and climate adaptation approaches.
  • Organize training sessions for staff, partner teams and community members on livelihood skills and resilience practices.
  • Support village/ward committees in planning and supervising activities.

Monitoring and Reporting

  • Track progress of livelihood interventions and prepare timely reports.
  • Document lessons learned and best practices for future programming.
  • Carry out or engage task with good judgement and responsibly.
  • Perform additional duties and assignments proactively
  • By actively participating with manager in producing a relevant and jointly agreed development plan
  • The plan will identify key areas which will assist in personal and professional development consistent with World Vision’s strategic goals
  • By demonstrating an understanding of and commitment to World Vision’s Core Values in the approach to work and relationships

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, Economics, Development Studies, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in livelihood, resilience, or DRR programming in humanitarian or development contexts.
  • Good command of Myanmar & English
  • Some level of travel is expected
  • Strong knowledge of community-based approaches and market systems development.
  • Excellent coordination and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and in complex environments.
  • Proficiency in project management and reporting tools.
