Live Action Administrative Intern

General Summary
The Live Action Administrative Intern will provide administrative and creative support to the LAIKA Live Action department with daily oversight from the Junior Creative Executive. 

Job Functions 

  • Provide administrative support to the Live Action department including phone coverage, scheduling, office organization, travel arrangements, and expense reports.
  • Track industry trades and relevant media outlets for news, research, and projects announcements to keep the department well informed. 
  • Log incoming submissions and routinely update designated Airtable grids.
  • Track, read, and provide coverage for materials as assigned, especially from emerging writers.
  • Source new material and voices and pitch the Junior Creative Executive at least one new idea per week.
  • Participate in department meetings by providing notes and meeting recaps. 

Qualifications 

  • Currently enrolled as a Junior or Senior in college/university, or graduated within the last 12 months; at least one prior internship in an entertainment company or agency preferred.
  • Avid reader and demonstrated skillset in story analysis, strong knowledge of industry trends.
  • Demonstrated tact and diplomacy; must be able to use discretion, sound judgment, and maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office; experience with Airtable, preferred.
  • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Salary 
$20.00/hour set rate, non-negotiable
