Litigation Paralegal
A well-established plaintiff-side litigation practice is seeking a Litigation Paralegal with substantial trial preparation and courtroom support experience. This role supports complex, high-stakes civil litigation and is ideal for a paralegal who has worked cases from filing through verdict.
Role Overview
This position plays a critical role in supporting attorneys through all phases of litigation, with a strong emphasis on trial readiness and execution. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and experienced in managing demanding caseloads involving complex personal injury matters.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare cases for trial, including exhibit lists, witness coordination, trial binders, and courtroom logistics
Draft and file pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and responses
Manage litigation calendars, deadlines, and trial schedules across multiple courts
Coordinate and support depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials
Assist attorneys during trial, including real-time courtroom support
Maintain organized case files and manage evidence and discovery databases
Handle federal and state e-filing requirements
Communicate with clients, experts, opposing counsel, and court personnel
Qualifications
5+ years of litigation experience on the plaintiff side
Demonstrated experience preparing for and supporting trials
Prior involvement in jury trials strongly preferred
Experience with medical malpractice and sexual abuse cases
Familiarity with mediation and settlement processes
Ability to manage cases independently with minimal supervision
Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe
Experience with legal case management systems (e.g., Filevine or similar) preferred
