About the Role

We have two exciting opportunities available for a Liquid Technologist: one permanent role and one 9 month fixed-term contract.

You will work as part of the Brand Change & Innovation team within Diageo’s Global Technical function who provide brand change leadership for Global Spirits, Mainstream Spirits, Beer and Non-alcoholic Beverages. The team brings together a wide range of complementary expertise and skills across the globe and are the center of excellence for brand change, leading project delivery from concept to commercialisation across brewing and distillation, driving efficiencies and process agility.

This role reports to the Brand Change Manager- Africa & Liquid in our beer category. You’ll play a key part in Diageo’s mission to be the most innovative, trusted, and respected consumer goods company in the world.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the commercialisation of liquids across a diverse range of products, including beer, Low/No-Alc, cider, cocktails, distilled spirits, and formulated products.
  • Collaborate closely with Brand Change teams across African markets to support liquid commercialisation.
  • Drive liquid concept development for NTW Innovations in beer and brewed products on a global scale.
  • Lead liquid activities for new innovations from pre-concept through post-launch, following the Navigate process and aligned with Brand Change Standards.
  • Understand consumer insights and translate them into outstanding liquids that meet quality, cost, and consumer testing requirements within agreed timelines.
  • Provide supply input and commercial grounding during project development and commercialisation, resolving challenges and managing regular project communications with Supply Project Managers, Supply and Demand stakeholders, Technical Operations, and the broader Supply community.
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders across supply and demand functions, as well as with external suppliers.
  • Apply excellent project management skills to develop and manage timelines, address technical challenges, and ensure risks and mitigation plans are identified and managed for each project.

About You

We’re looking for a practical, hands-on Liquid Technologist who is passionate about creating exceptional beverages and can thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment. You must be able to commute to and work from St James Gate, Dublin.

  • Proven practical experience in a relevant technical role (Brand Change, Operations, Governance) with deep knowledge of liquid manufacturing in brewed or formulated products.
  • Experience in product or concept development, with a track record of delivering successful beverage or food products from development through to commercialisation.
  • Ideally, a Science degree or equivalent experience with a focus on food science or a food/beverage-related discipline.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to tackle technical challenges with creativity and precision.
  • Excellent collaboration and stakeholder management skills, able to work effectively across multiple teams.
