As a Systems Administrator II within the BOTS Operations Tools Support team, you will support the day‑to‑day operation and reliability of enterprise infrastructure monitoring and operations tools used across global, mission‑critical environments. This role is primarily focused on system administration and monitoring platform operations, ensuring that alerts, data collection, and visibility tools function as expected to support service availability and operational response.
About the team:
The BOTS Operations Tools Support team provides operational support for a suite of critical enterprise infrastructure tools, including Zabbix, BeyondTrust Password Safe, and BigFix. The team plays a key role in ensuring secure, reliable, and efficient IT operations through proactive monitoring, privileged access management, software and patch management, and vulnerability remediation across the environment.
What you will be doing:
Monitoring & Alerting:
Design, configure, and manage proactive monitoring and alerting using Zabbix, including performance analysis and continuous improvement of monitoring coverage across enterprise systems.
Privileged Access Management:
Administer secure password storage and controlled access using BeyondTrust Password Safe, ensuring compliance with security and access control standards.
Patching & Vulnerability Management:
Implement and oversee timely patching through BigFix, actively identifying and mitigating vulnerabilities to maintain a secure and stable environment.
Support the day‑to‑day operational management of core enterprise monitoring and operations platforms, including Zabbix and BigFix, ensuring systems are functioning reliably and in line with established operational standards and procedures.
Provide regional operational support from the Philippines as part of a globally distributed team, contributing to 24x7 monitoring, alert response, and incident support, particularly during US off‑hours.
Help maintain service availability and SLA performance by:
Monitoring system and platform health
Responding to alerts and operational events
Performing initial troubleshooting, impact assessment, and escalation as required
Participate in incident management activities, including:
Supporting P1/P2 incident response under the guidance of senior engineers
Assisting with root cause investigations and post‑incident actions
Helping implement corrective actions to reduce repeat incidents
Perform routine platform operations and maintenance, such as:
Configuration updates
User and access management
Health checks, validation, and basic capacity monitoring
Assist with platform lifecycle activities, including:
Supporting upgrades, patches, and enhancements
Validating changes in lower environments and production
Following change and release management processes
Collaborate with senior engineers, cross‑functional teams, and vendors to support:
Platform changes and enhancements
New monitoring requirements or onboarding of systems
Contribute to operational documentation and knowledge sharing by:
Following and helping improve standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Updating runbooks and knowledge base articles
Supporting effective handover and reducing dependency risks
What you will need:
2–4 years of relevant experience in systems administration, platform operations, or infrastructure support roles, such as:
Systems Administrator
Infrastructure Support Engineer
Platform Operations or Monitoring Support Engineer
L2 / L2.5 Production Support Engineer
Experience working in enterprise or large‑scale production environments, where availability, stability, and operational discipline are important.
Demonstrated experience supporting systems beyond ticket execution, including troubleshooting, follow‑through, and issue ownership within defined procedures.
Core Technical Skills (Required)
Hands‑on experience with Windows and Linux system administration, including:
System monitoring and health checks
Basic troubleshooting and log review
Service validation and routine maintenance
Solid understanding of Network Monitoring Systems (NMS) and monitoring concepts, including:
SNMP, WMI, APIs, and agent‑based monitoring
Supporting and maintaining monitoring configurations
Responding to alerts and operational events (not just acknowledging them)
Ability to work comfortably across multiple technical domains while following established operational standards and escalation paths.
Incident & Operational Experience
Experience participating in incident response activities, including:
Performing initial triage and impact assessment
Supporting P1/P2 incidents under the guidance of senior engineers
Assisting with post‑incident reviews and corrective actions
Exposure to platform or system changes, upgrades, or maintenance activities in a controlled enterprise environment.
Supporting Platform Knowledge
Working knowledge of common enterprise technologies, including:
VMware / virtualization platforms
Active Directory (user, group, and basic troubleshooting)
Core networking concepts, such as IP addressing, DNS, and network‑integrated systems
Professional & Soft Skills
Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly.
A proactive and responsible mindset, with willingness to:

Suggest incremental improvements to operations
Strong desire to learn and improve technical and operational skills over time.

Nice to Have (Differentiators)
Hands‑on experience with Zabbix or similar enterprise monitoring platforms.
Basic scripting experience using:
PowerShell
JavaScript
Exposure to API usage or integrations for monitoring, reporting, or system interactions.
Familiarity with automation or observability enhancements in an enterprise operations context.
