REQ13601 Linen and Guest Request Runner (Open)
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Linen and Guest Request Runner is responsible for delivering a quality customer service experience through proper, fast delivery of guest request such as linen and other guest items.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Delivers guest request item/s in a timely manner.
- Guest request item/s must be delivered a minimum of 10 minutes.
- Remains familiar with all linen/terry and all other guest request items.
- Performs prior delivery of items such as iron, electric fan or any item that requires electrical or mechanical operation must be in good condition.
- Check if in good working order before delivery to guest.
- Performs all requested item must be presented on a tray and handed over to the guest.
- Verifies the room number and the guest name when a guest request for an item, the Runner if possible, the Guest will be greeted by his/her name.
- Remains knowledgeable of the proper dialogue when delivering guest request item.
- Knows the proper procedure in entering a room.
- Knows the proper procedure when the room is on DND sign.
- Ensures that guest complaints are handled politely, timely and efficiently.
- Follows up on guest/s to check on the status of the request/s and to check for satisfaction or any other feedback.
- Operates all equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures to ensure maximum safety including the reporting of any maintenance or hazardous issues.
- Maintains adequate stock levels of all supplies by weekly stocktaking and reporting to Supervisor.
- Completes and submits Production Control sheets in a timely and accurate manner.
- Maintains a clean, safe and clutter free work area to ensure maximum safety and productivity.
- Cleans and maintains all delivery equipment regularly.
- Inspects guest items for damage, lost property, reporting to guests and superior anything identified.
- Collects, sorts, marks, packs and returns guest items in appropriate packaging in a timely and courteous manner when required.
- Maintains good grooming and proper conduct at all times specially in guest areas.
- Remains knowledgeable of all emergency policies and procedures and be able to respond accordingly.
- Adheres to all Company policies and procedures. Reports accidents, injuries and unsafe work conditions to supervisors.
- Performs any other duties as may be assigned by supervisors.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience
- At least 1 year working experience of similar position.
Education
- Preferably college graduate.
Skills / Competencies
- Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pulls and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 kg on frequent basis without assistance.
- Self-motivated and responsible.
- Ability to work on flexible shift including overnight, weekends and holiday on rotation basis
- Ability to extend duty hours when needed.
- Multi-tasks.
