Position Overview

The Lifecycle Marketing Content Specialist will support the Lifecycle Marketing team by developing clear, compelling, and customer-focused communications across email, SMS, push notifications, and other owned channels. This role is ideal for an early-career writer who is passionate about copywriting, customer experience, and data-driven marketing.

The ideal candidate has foundational copywriting experience through coursework, internships, or professional roles and has written or built emails for a company or organization. They are detail-oriented, collaborative, and eager to learn how CRM and lifecycle marketing strategies drive retention, engagement, and revenue.

Responsibilities

Write, edit, and proofread customer-facing communications across CRM channels, including email, SMS, push notifications, and in-app messaging, and internal facing communications. Support the execution of lifecycle marketing campaigns, including onboarding, lead nurture, retention, winback, and promotional communications. Partner with internal and external stakeholder to develop messaging aligned to brand voice and campaign objectives. Assist in building and QA’ing emails within the marketing automation platform to ensure accuracy in links, personalization, segmentation, and dynamic content. Apply copywriting best practices including subject line optimization, calls-to-action, clarity, tone, and formatting for readability. Conduct thorough grammar, spelling, and quality reviews before deployment. Support A/B testing initiatives by drafting variant copy and analyzing performance results with the team. Maintain documentation of messaging frameworks, content calendars, and copy guidelines. Continuously research industry best practices in CRM, email marketing, and lifecycle strategy to improve performance.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or related field preferred

  • 0–2 years of copywriting, email marketing, content writing, or related experience

  • Internship, coursework, freelance, or professional experience demonstrating:

  • Writing marketing emails or digital communications for a company or organization

  • Understanding of basic email marketing or CRM principles

  • Familiarity with lifecycle marketing concepts such as onboarding, retention, and lead nurture

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong copywriting skills with the ability to write persuasive, customer-centric messaging

  • Excellent grammar, spelling, proofreading, and editing skills

  • Understanding of email marketing best practices (subject lines, preview text, CTAs, personalization, segmentation)

  • Familiarity with marketing automation or CRM tools (experience with platforms such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, HubSpot, or similar is a plus)

  • Basic understanding of A/B testing and performance metrics (open rates, click-through rates, conversions)

  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple deadlines

  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and growth mindset

  • Interest in CRM, customer lifecycle marketing, and data-driven storytelling

Pay Ranges

$54,983.00 - $91,638.00

This range is based on the qualifications necessary for the position, including experience, training, and other considerations permitted by law. Factors that may be used when making an offer may include a candidate’s skills, experience, and geographic location, the expected quality and quantity of work, and internal pay alignment, as needed. Most candidates will start in the bottom half of the pay range. The upper end of the range will generally be reserved for candidates with extensive experience. An employee’s pay history will not be a contributing factor where prohibited by local law. In addition to monetary compensation, we offer benefits, including Medical/Dental/Vision insurance and Company-matching 401(k) in addition to other programs and perks.
