Are you a journalism student or recent grad with a passion for human interest stories, social media, and the lifestyle world? Want to learn the ropes of digital writing at one of the most iconic media brands?
The New York Post's Lifestyle team is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic full-time Lifestyle Intern (40 hrs/week) to join us this summer. If you’re ready to dive into the world of viral trends, human interest stories, and all things lifestyle, this is the perfect opportunity to jumpstart your career!
Note: This internship is scheduled to run from June 1, 2026 - August 7, 2026. Participants are expected to work full time hours and adhere to our on-site work schedule. Open to current juniors and seniors pursuing a BA, MA students, and recent graduates who completed their degree within the past year. Priority consideration will be given to applications received by March 15th.
What You’ll Do:
Scour social media to discover unique lifestyle and human interest stories that will resonate with readers.
Shadow our talented reporters and editors to gain insight into the fast-paced world of digital journalism.
Write your own human interest and lifestyle stories in the New York Post’s fun, bold, and engaging tone.
Learn essential digital journalism skills, including WordPress, SEO, and keyword analytics.
Assist with research, content planning, and other editorial tasks that contribute to our high-energy lifestyle coverage.
What We’re Looking For:
A current journalism student or recent graduate with a keen interest in lifestyle and human interest stories.
Top organizational skills and a willingness to assist editors and reporters with daily content.
A social media enthusiast who stays on top of the latest trends and knows how to spot viral content.
A creative, adaptable writer who can capture the unique voice and tone of the New York Post.
Eagerness to learn about digital tools and platforms like WordPress, SEO, and keyword research.
A go-getter attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
