Working Pattern: Weekdays

Working location: Raynesway - Minimum 3 days in office

An opening has become available for a Lifecycle Engineer within the Dreadnought Engineering Management Team. The Engineering Management Team work cross-functionally to influence the design maturity of the Dreadnought product to meet customer requirements. The team primarily support the Chief Design Engineer to ensure Design Intent is met, whilst also supporting the wider Dreadnought Chief Engineering Team to make strategic engineering decisions.

This role is an engineering role within the New Build and Components business area.

This role provides a unique opportunity to work closely with the Dreadnought Chief Engineering Team, delivering both engineering outputs and programme information to enable strategic decision making. As the successful candidate grown in this role there will be further opportunities to lead on challenging issues, often working across the business and wider enterprise to deliver solutions. This role offers a breadth of experience across the component suite unlike most roles.

What you will be doing

With this attractive opportunity you will get a chance to:

  • Produce engineering outputs in support of design maturity or product assurance.
  • Work closely with the CE team to support technical issues and produce engineering metrics to support decision making.
  • Support the Dreadnought Environmental Case and Dreadnought Requirements Management.
  • Ensure engineering management plans are up to date and are being applied appropriately.

To work for the Rolls-Royce Defence business an individual has to hold a Security Check clearance.  Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if you do not currently already have this in place.  Due to the nature of work the business conducts and the protection of certain assets we can only progress applications from individuals who are a UK national or, in MoD approved cases, a dual national.
