The Change Owner is responsible for driving and coordinating technical changes throughout the product lifecycle, ensuring timely implementation, compliance with engineering standards, and alignment with customer and business requirements. This role acts as the primary interface between engineering, manufacturing, quality, and program management for all technical change activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Technical Change Process: Own and manage engineering change requests (ECRs) from initiation to implementation.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with design, validation, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to assess impact, feasibility, and timing of changes.
• Risk & Impact Analysis: Evaluate technical, cost, and timing implications of proposed changes; ensure risk mitigation plans are in place.
• Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate change documentation in 1PLM system (Teamcenter) ensure compliance with BorgWarner standards and customer requirements.
• Customer Interface: Communicate change status and technical details to OEM customers when required.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline change processes and improve efficiency.
• KPIs & Reporting: Track and report change implementation metrics (timing, cost, quality impact) to stakeholders.

Expectations:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Automotive Engineering (or related field).
• Experience:
  • 3+ years in engineering or program management within automotive or power electronics industry.
  • Familiarity with inverter technology, e-mobility systems, and high-voltage components is a plus.
• Skills:
  • Strong understanding of product development and change management processes.
  • Proficiency in PLM tools (Teamcenter, SAP) and MS Office.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
