JOB SUMMARY
The Licensure Readiness Coach is responsible for coaching and remediation of pre-testing performance of enrolled healthcare students. The Coach interacts with students as well as the program director to enhance and facilitate testing performance and strives to ensure the highest levels of student outcomes and program satisfaction are achieved.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as the primary facilitator of the student’s success course at the beginning of their program.
- Serve as the owner of the success course in collaboration with the Program Directors.
- Assist with orientation and student check in.
- Serve as a student's advocate in proactively addressing matters of NCLEX preparation.
- Plan and facilitate NCLEX package tests.
- Initiate one on one meetings with nursing students to create individualized long-range NCLEX preparation action plans.
- Monitor student testing progress regularly using appropriate indicators.
- Assist nursing students to identify gaps in nursing knowledge based on testing performance analysis and create a structured remediation plan using the NCLEX testing package resources.
- Maintain appropriate documentation of all student interactions, utilizing Orbis Salesforce for tracking student contact, and report to program director.
- Track student participation to meet benchmark goals throughout each term.
EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Master’s Degree in higher education, counseling preferred
- Experience in healthcare or a complementary field preferred
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret reports
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations
- High level written and oral communication skills to accurately present information persuasively, professionally and accurately to groups of people
