Job Description Summary

The Licensed Social Worker (LISW) reports to the Division Director. Provide a wide variety of direct therapeutic social worker services in an outpatient psychiatric setting for a complex caseload of patients including psychosocial assessment, active treatment, case management, and related documentation in collaboration with psychiatric treatment team

Job Description

Interviews clients and their families and coordinates and plans programs and activities to meet their social and emotional needs. Provides crisis intervention and assists families in understanding the implications and complexities of the medical situation and its impact on lifestyle. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.

Additional Job Description

Education: Master's degree in a social work or social welfare program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. Credentials: MSW licensure by the South Carolina Board of Social Work Examiners.  Certification in case management preferred.
