Job Description
The Credit Sector Analyst is responsible for supporting client analysis and reporting, in coordination with the Leveraged Trading team. The overall objective of this role is to utilize research and data analysis to support the team, contribute to product improvements, and assist in client engagement.
Responsibilities:
Assist in aggregating and processing large amounts of publicly available data for relevant markets to support risk management decisions and client solutions.
Focus will be on the stressier parts of high yield and loan markets in leveraged credit.
Perform data analyses and research to support the evaluation of performance, contribute to new strategies, and provide product feedback internally.
Support the development of performance evaluation methodologies and attribution models for different execution products.
Work with quants, technology, compliance, and other partners to support product development.
Assist in preparing thematic content, market, and bespoke analysis for client discussions regarding margin effectiveness and optimization.
Help track and report on key metrics for distribution to senior management and other stakeholders.
Support the development of the risk and margin methodology and product platform.
Assist in the preparation of materials for the negotiation of margin and credit protection clauses with clients.
Support client analysis and reporting, ensuring that tasks are completed accurately and on time.
Uphold strong governance and controls:
Work in partnership with control functions such as Legal, Compliance, Market and Credit Risk, Audit, and Finance to ensure appropriate governance and control infrastructure.
Foster a culture of responsible finance, good governance, and ethics.
Appropriately assess risk/reward of transactions when making business decisions, demonstrating proper consideration for the firm’s reputation.
Be familiar with and adhere to Citi’s Code of Conduct and the Plan of Supervision for Global Markets and Securities Services.

Obtain and maintain all registrations/licenses which are required for your role within the appropriate timeframe.
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
2-5 years of experience in a related role.
Strong statistics and data analysis background, with modeling capabilities and spreadsheet skills greatly preferred.
Experience with a programming background in one or more programming languages, including: Q/KDB, Python, R.
Demonstrated ability to conduct research, articulate ideas, and contribute to presentations.
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication.
Attention to Detail and Accuracy.
Proven ability to manage deadlines and strong organizational skills.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience.
