Job Description:

We are looking for a special kind of person – a St Vincent’s kind of person. Someone who puts compassion, connection and caring for other people at the heart of everything they do. 

As a Lifestyle Officer, you’ll be part of an experienced, engaged and dedicated team helping to create a welcoming, professional and supportive care experience for the residents of St Vincent’s Care Services Yennora. Drawing on your care experience, you will actively contribute to the delivery of engaging lifestyle opportunities aimed at meeting the diverse social, recreational, cultural, and spiritual needs of our residents. 

St Vincent's Care Services Yennora (locally known as Rosary Village) is a 141-bed facility located approximately 29km from Sydney's CBD.

This is a fixed term part time opportunity for 6 weeks with potential to extend. Ability to work Friday, Saturday and Sunday with 8 hours each day and 48 hours per fortnight.

Things that work for us: 

  • Certificate III in Individual Support essential. Leisure qualification highly regarded. 

  • Experience working as a carer AND in Leisure & Lifestyle in an aged care facility required. 

  • Ability to collaborate seamlessly with the pastoral care, care & clinical, and food services teams to create and implement meaningful engagement activities. 

  • A commitment to person-centred care, demonstrating a deep understanding and passion for enhancing residents' well-being. 

  • Ability to leverage your experience in working with individuals living with dementia to bring valuable insights to our care approach. 

  • Capacity to infuse energy and enthusiasm into your role, fostering an environment that enables residents to actively participate in and enjoy meaningful activities. 

  • High level of customer service skills 

  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills 

  • Ability to follow directives as per care plan 

  • Understanding of Aged Care and resident rights and responsibilities 

  • Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (within the last 6 months) 

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check may be a requirement of this role.
