Job Description & Summary

As a Tax Legal Services & Company Secretarial Manager at PwC, you will lead the delivery of strategic legal, governance, and compliance advisory services for clients. You will play a key role in shaping the client’s legal risk management approach, ensuring regulatory alignment, and upholding the highest standards of corporate governance across the organisation.

Responsibilities

  • Provide highlevel and/or detailed opinions and strategic direction to engagement teams, and clients across various industries.  

  • Lead the identification, assessment, and mitigation of legal and regulatory risks affecting client’s business.  

  • Oversee company secretarial and governance operations, ensuring timely compliance with statutory, regulatory, and reporting requirements.  

  • Advise on complex legal matters, helping guide business decisions while ensuring adherence to applicable laws and regulations.  

  • Supervise the preparation and review of statutory documents, board papers, minutes, and regulatory submissions.  

  • Maintain oversight of corporate records and ensure alignment with regulatory and ethical standards.  

  • Engage with regulators, external counsel, and key stakeholders on legal and governance matters.  

  • Provide leadership, coaching, and technical guidance to junior team members.  

  • Collaborate with clients to support business initiatives, manage legal exposures, and enhance organisational transparency and accountability. 

Key competencies and attributes  

  • Expert knowledge of corporate law, laws regulating foreign investments, market entry and other industry laws in Ghana such as the GIPC Act, Technology Transfer Regulations, Free Zones, regulatory frameworks and governance standards. 

  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and advisory capabilities. 

  • Advanced analytical and riskmanagement skills. 

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and decisionmaking abilities. 

  • Proven ability to manage complex, multijurisdictional legal and governance matters.

  • High ethical standards and sound judgement. 

  • Business development skills. 

Qualification & experience  

  • Bachelor's degree in law or related field. 

  • Called to the Ghana Bar 

  • Postgraduate qualifications and professional certifications (e.g., Chartered Governance Institute) 

  • 6–10 years’ relevant experience in legal practice, corporate governance, or company secretarial functions, with proven leadership experience.
