The Legal Recruiting (LR) Assistant provides key administrative and logistical support to the Legal Recruiting team. This role contributes to the firm’s efforts to attract, recruit, and hire exceptional law students and experienced attorneys in alignment with the firm’s strategic talent goals.
What You’ll Do:
Maintain and update the recruiting database (LawCruit), including candidate records, interview schedules, evaluations, and reporting for lateral associate hiring.
Coordinate all aspects of the lateral recruiting process, including scheduling, candidate communications, file management, and expense processing.
Communicate with search firms, candidates, and internal stakeholders to ensure a seamless candidate experience.
Prepare and distribute interview schedules, greet candidates, collect feedback, and compile evaluation summaries.
Support conflicts, background check and onboarding processes.
Partner with HR and other departments to facilitate smooth onboarding of new attorneys.
Manage recruiting materials, departmental supplies, and assist with additional projects as needed.
Who You Are:
Bachelor’s degree with 1–2 years of relevant experience, ideally in a law firm or law school career services setting.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and comfortable working with databases; experience with LawCruit preferred.
Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; professional, responsive, and collegial demeanor.
Demonstrated discretion in handling confidential information.
Self-starter with strong initiative; able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Willingness to work occasional extended hours as required.
Occasional travel as required.
