Legal Project Manager

About the Role: As a Legal Project Manager, you will play a critical role in supporting our end-to-end legal operations, working closely with Gwyneth Quek (Senior LPM) and reporting to Joanna Nerona (Global Lead LPM). You will be part of a high-performing, global Legal Project Management team within the Client Delivery Group (CDG), leading legal teams across the firm to deliver matters effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide LPM support on US matters (and, where necessary, on international matters), working with matter partners and legal teams throughout the matter lifecycle.
  • Act as a dedicated point of contact to streamline information flow across teams and with clients.
  • Manage multiple deadlines, dependencies, and project timelines, including milestone trackers and Gantt charts.
  • Track team capacity and resource allocation to drive efficiency.
  • Prepare and update project status reports for legal teams and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate communication between team members, third-party providers, and clients.
  • Ensure project documentation is organized and maintained in a centralized environment.
  • Collaborate with Billing/Pricing/Client Value and EA teams to track budgets, issue bills, and prioritise profitability.
  • Analyse matter financial data to identify trends, pain points, and opportunities for efficiency.
  • Arrange lessons learned sessions, conduct project health checks, and document feedback.
  • Support the implementation of LPM, AI and legal tech solutions.
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities and provide feedback to the CDG.
  • Embed project management tools and tracking systems in matter delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in law, legal studies, project management, or a related field.
  • 2+ years experience in legal project management, legal administration, or a related field, preferably in a law firm or legal department.
  • Excellent oral and written English skills.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, financial, data, and organizational skills.

Preferred:

  • Proficiency in project management tools.
  • Certification in project management (PMP, IILPM, LPMI, PRINCE2, Lean Six Sigma, or equivalent) is desirable.
