LEGAL PROGRAM MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST

Salary Range: $93445 - $144457 Per Year

Job Summary: You will serve as a Foreign Legal Engagement Program Manager, Command Ethics Program Manager, and Legal Action Officer in the Office of the Staff Judge Advocate (OSJA) of HEADQUARTERS US INDO-PACIFIC COMMAND.

Major Duties:

  • You will serve as the program manager for the USINDOPACOM Foreign Legal Engagement Program.
  • You will improve communications and understanding between the United States and foreign countries and further the rule of law and positively impact operability in the region.
  • You will be responsible for overall execution of the foreign legal engagement program.
  • You will serve as the key planner and manager for the annual International Military Law and Operations (MILOPS) multi-lateral engagement, attended by hundreds of senior officers and civilians from 40 different nations.
  • You will identify focus areas through analytical evaluation of patterns of issues presented, and develop and deliver preventative measures to address programmatic needs.
  • You will perform technical program analysis, assuring procedures are consistent and in compliance with the law and regulation.
  • You will be responsible for the directorate's annual budget, overseeing internal accounting and management of all office resources.

GS-13 LEVEL Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Managing legal programs and engagements; Managing ethics programs and training; Managing support service programs (i.e. Financial Management, Security Manager, Task Management System Manager, Information Assurance Representative, Directorate Security Manager, Assessable Unit Manager, Defense Travel System Approving Official (AO), Lead Defense Travel Administrator, Telecommunications Officer, Minor Property Custodian and Executive Assistant) and Applying comprehensive understanding of the U.S. Pacific Command area of responsibility, including specific knowledge of strategic partnerships and allies in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region. GS-12 LEVEL Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
