JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY: 

The County Attorney's Office is seeking a temporary Office Assistant, able to provide reliable, dependable, clerical assistance and administrative support. This person must be self-motivated and detail oriented. Key responsibilities include supporting the office manager, preparing documents, and handling communication with internal and external stakeholders. This role requires strong organizational skills, adaptability, and discretionThe candidate must have proven ability to move between diverse tasks with ease and thrive in a high-energy, collegial environment and must quickly learn new systems and handle sensitive information with ease. 

 

SCHEDULE 

This is a temporary non-exempt hourly position that has the option to operate on a 4 or 5-day work week, approximately 30 hours per week through 12/31/2025. This position has the opportunity for some remote work, as well as required in-office work. 

  

COMPENSATION: 

Target Hire Range: $30.00 – $35.00 USD Hourly 

Compensation will be determined based on education, experience, and skills.   

  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES: 

Legal office support includes, but is not limited to: 

  • Managing documents and confidential information with appropriate discretion 

  • Administrative support for the Office Manager 

  • Assisting with special projects by coordinating resources and tracking progress 

  • Maintaining legal and confidential files 

  • Data entry and report generation using legal matter management software 

  • Communication with clients, the courts, the general public, and government agencies 

  • Other duties as assigned 

 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • High School Diploma or GED 

  • 3 years’ experience in a professional or office setting 

 *Note: An equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable. 

 

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 

  • Experience in a legal office. 

  • Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Strong customer service skills. 

  • Experience with Microsoft Office/Microsoft 365. 

  • Strong written and verbal communication. 

  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills. 

  • High attention to detail when proofreading/correcting written reports. 

  

Additional Job Information: 

  • Criminal History and MVR Background Checks are required for every position. 

  • A valid Colorado driver’s license is required for positions that drive on County Business in either a county or personal vehicle shall have a Colorado Driver’s license within 30-days of hire or beginning to serve as an intern or volunteer.
