The role
We are now looking for a Legal Manager to strengthen our team! As Legal Manager you will help deliver, manage and support legal work within Dentsu.
Key responsibilities
- Providing legal advice to stakeholders at various levels of the organisation on relevant subjects to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and the protection of Dentsu’s commercial interests
- Drafting, negotiating and advising on commercial agreements
- Delivering adequate legal support (templates, advice, risk management, subject matter knowledge) to accelerate and underpin the expansion of company strategy
- Providing legal support on various matters to commercial teams in contractual negotiations to achieve the most advantageous and/or beneficial legal and commercial terms for Dentsu
- Assisting in developing and delivering training and legal risk management initiatives to senior management in managing legal risks (e.g. business training, legal updates, etc)
- Helping to implement best-practices in compliance, contracts management, intellectual property, data protection, IT, litigation and/or M&A (having regard to the Legal Counsel’s specialist area)
- Assisting with delivering cost-effective handling of existing litigation and disputes to protect Dentsu’s best interests, including timely and accurate reporting
Our ideal candidate has the following attributes
- Fluency in English and Arabic
- 4-6 years of experience working with different laws across the region
- Specialised in contract law and corporate law, knowledge of Saudi Arabia law as an advantage
- Familiar with labour laws and government communications as an advantage
- Experience in a similar organisation or industry (media or e-commerce)
- Happy to work within a dispersed international team
- Open and transparent communication style
- Practical and commercially minded
- Experience working with external counsel
