To be a trainee in our Basel legal team, reporting to the Associate General Counsel, Corporate. We are looking for a qualified law student with interest in corporate matters, contracting and contract and AI technology tools. Key responsibilities:

  • Leading role in support global role out of a Contract Life Cycle Management Tool
  • Support with drafting and harmonizing a full suite of contracts.
  • Support with respect to all other legal aspects of work on M&A, transactions and strategic projects, as required.
  • Act as a business legal partner with internal clients of the company.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by General Counsel, Corporate and Associate General Counsel, Corporate.
  • A proactive member of the team who is keen to learn and work in a fast paced environment.
  • Team player who is comfortable working with all levels of management.

Furthermore you have the following skills, experience and qualifications:

  • Legal studies – currently completing or completed.
  • Keen interest in contract drafting in plain English.
  • Keen interest in M&A and corporate or commercial projects.
  • Experience or understanding of contract law (civil law and common law) and corporate matters.
  • An understanding of wider EU, CH and other applicable regional and domestic legislation.
  • At ease in drafting legal documents and communicating in English (German, French, Spanish or other languages also helpful).
