Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities:

• Work with attorneys to address and support ongoing compliance and corporate matters;
• Review and negotiate commercial contracts under supervision of attorneys;
• Conduct legal research in support of ongoing operations and strategic initiatives; and
• Attend meetings and support engagements with BJ’s business teams to understand and drive practical solutions to their legal requirements.

Qualifications:

• Personal integrity, tact, excellent discretion, and the ability to handle highly confidential/sensitive information appropriately;
• Good judgment and professionalism;
• Excellent work ethic;
• Excellent research, analytical, and writing skills;
• Ability to explain legal issues clearly and concisely;
• Actively enrolled in a Juris Doctorate studies program at a top law school; top 30% of class strongly preferred;
• Ability to work a hybrid schedule with mandatory in-office days in Marlborough, MA (M&F remote; T-Th in office); and
• Ability to maintain an 8am-5pm work schedule (for both in-office and remote days).

Please note that participation in the Summer Legal Internship program does not guarantee an offer to join BJ’s CCDP.         

This is a hybrid role. Tuesday through Thursday are in-office days at BJ's Club Support Center in Marlborough, MA and Monday and Friday are remote days.

In accordance with the Pay Transparency requirements, the following represents a good faith estimate of the compensation range for this position. At BJ’s Wholesale Club, we carefully consider a wide range of non-discriminatory factors when determining salary. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, education, experience, and qualifications. The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00
