This is a hybrid roleAt Bluevine, we pride ourselves on our collaborative culture, which we believe is best maintained through in-person interactions and a vibrant office environment. All of our offices have reopened in accordance with local guidelines, and are following a hybrid model. In-office days will be determined by location and discipline.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As a Legal Inquiries Analyst, you will be the go-to expert for reviewing, responding to, and tracking civil and regulatory information requests. You’ll also support the Legal and Compliance teams by collecting and analyzing data to identify trends and patterns.

 

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Intake, manage, and respond to government and civil requests including subpoenas, search warrants, and other requests for information 
  • Identify, collect, and review of documents for production in compliance with internal procedures and applicable laws 
  • Coordinate with internal teams and bank partners to evaluate and process legal notices such as bankruptcy notices, liens, levies, and garnishments.
  • Track and provide monthly reporting of the volume and status of inquiries, including trend analysis.
  • Conduct legal research as needed
  • Develop, draft and manage processes and policies to improve efficiencies with respect to legal inquiries
  • Respond to ad-hoc data requests

WHAT WE LOOK FOR:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of prior paralegal experience or experience responding to legal inquiries
  • Knowledge of U.S. banking and banking products
  • High organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to make sound decisions, use independent judgment, establish priorities, and work effectively on multiple initiatives concurrently
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience with communicating with law enforcement agencies

 

Additional Qualities:

  • Prior experience at a fintech
  • Paralegal certification
  • Experience with SQL
  • Data Warehouse and/or Data Management Experience
  • Experience with legal research tools like PACER
