Legal Counsel – Fixed-term

Location: Espoo, Finland

Our Global Legal Function supports KONE worldwide, helping us achieve our business goals in line with our strategy. We are a team of around 180 legal professionals across more than 25 countries.

We are now looking for a Legal Counsel to join our Global Legal team for a temporary position covering parental leave. This is a great opportunity to work in an international environment and contribute to exciting projects.

What you’ll do

  • Advise and support KONE’s Commercial & Operations and Technology & Innovation functions.
  • Support the development of KONE’s digital services and solutions – including software, services, and hardware – and help plan how to contract and sell these solutions.
  • Run KONE’s global data privacy program.
  • Advise on legal matters related to data privacy, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence (AI), and general technology.
  • Support global IT deployments and development projects. 
  • Support KONE’s business lines and global teams in various projects in the intersection of commercial, data, and technology.

You will report to the Vice President, Legal, Corporate.

What we’re looking for

  • A legal degree
  • At least two years of relevant experience (in-house or law firm)
  • Knowledge of data protection and privacy, AI, information technology (IT), cybersecurity and other technology-related laws and regulations (i.e. the GDPR, AI Act, NIS2, Cyber Resilience Act)
  • Strong negotiation and drafting skills
  • Fluency in English and Finnish (other languages are a plus)
  • A proactive, solution-oriented mindset and ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment
  • Great communication and decision-making skills
  • International work or study experience is an advantage

This is a temporary role covering parental leave.

Preferred start: Early February 2026.
