You will work closely with our business teams to ensure that our company's business goals are achieved, while at the same time all processing of personal data is fully compliant with GDPR and other applicable data protection laws and the company’s interests are protected.
To be considered for this role, you must demonstrate:
extensive experience in data protection law, GDPR compliance, international data transfers, and privacy governance frameworks, and strong practical knowledge of data protection regulation and privacy by design principles
You must possess deep hands-on expertise in GDPR compliance, international data transfers, and data protection frameworks, including supervisory authority practice and enforcement trends.

Powers and responsibilities:
Act as the company’s subject-matter expert on GDPR, data protection law, and privacy compliance
Independently manage complex legal projects, including drafting, reviewing and negotiating data protection agreements (DPAs), joint controller agreements, data processing frameworks, as well as supporting and coordinating international personal data transfers (e.g. SCCs, TIAs and related measures)
Independently prepare complex legal analysis on data protection risks, regulatory exposure, and compliance strategies
Provide tailored legal guidance to our business teams in matters with significant impacts for the company in areas of personal data protection, privacy and regulatory compliance
Advise on privacy by design, data minimization, retention policies, security incident handling and breach notification obligations
Support and manage interactions with supervisory authorities, audits, inspections, and potential investigations
Monitor developments in EU and international data protection law (e.g. EDPB guidance)
Stay up-to-date on the latest legal developments in the personal data protection and identify potential risks and opportunities
Continuously identify areas for improvements in legal processes or other areas and implement the changes
Represent the company in negotiations with external parties
EMPLOYEE REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
Advanced legal degree (Mgr. or LLM)
Minimum of 5 years of post-graduate legal experience, with at least 3 years in a law firm or as in-house counsel
Expertise and experience as described in Job Description, including a minimum of 3 years of practical experience with GDPR implementation data protection compliance and privacy governance in an international environment.
Experience in technology-driven environments is an advantage
Language skills
Legal English (C1) - Advanced knowledge (you will be expected to work almost exclusively with English language agreements)

Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Basic wage component (brutto): from 3000 EUR
* Financial bonus based on performance paid twice a year up to 10% from the base salary paid during the evaluation period (usually 6 months).
* The final basic wage component can be increased accordingly to individual skills and experience of the selected candidate.
