We’re looking for a talented and commercially minded Legal Counsel to join our close-knit team on a 12-month fixed term contract based out of the Manchester / Leeds area

Purpose of the Role

The purpose of this role is to provide legal advice to stakeholders at various levels of the organisation and manage legal contract work across dentsu’s business areas

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, negotiate and advise on commercial agreements across a variety of areas with both clients and suppliers
  • Provide support to business teams in contract negotiations with clients and suppliers. This includes being able to efficiently provide a risk assessment of proposed contracts, clearly distinguishing between critical and less critical risk.
  • Advise in connection with contract interpretation, initial dispute resolution and overall negotiation strategy
  • Support in relation to development and deployment of commercial initiatives and new supplier arrangements
  • Experience advising on contract law, intellectual property, and data protection

Qualifications + Skills

  • Qualified lawyer with several years PQE as a guide
  • Strong background in commercial contract review, drafting, and negotiation
  • Commercially minded, pragmatic, solutions-focused and able to communicate clearly
  • Operates with a high level of autonomy, ownership, organisation and follow-through
  • Highly collaborative and relationships-oriented with strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Values being part of a close-knit team

  • The team is based out of our Manchester and Leeds offices, with 4 days a week working from home, and 1 day a week alternating between each office.
