Join us as a Legal and Regulation Trainee

Join our Legal and Regulation Department in Lisbon and provide cross-functional support to both the team and management, ensuring regulatory monitoring, document organisation and executive support for the efficient operation of the area. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic environment, supporting critical legal and regulatory processes at the heart of Euronext’s activities.

You will be primarily responsible for:

  • Monitoring relevant Portuguese and European legislation on a daily basis.
  • Following up regularly on publications issued by supervisory authorities such as CMVM, ESMA and the National Cybersecurity Centre.
  • Translating legal and institutional documents, including correspondence, rules and internal policies.
  • Managing diaries and coordinating meetings, including preparing agendas and minutes.
  • Preparing supporting documentation for meetings.
  • Supporting corporate registration processes, including company incorporation, amendments to articles of association and commercial registrations.
  • Managing institutional communications and correspondence.
  • Providing direct support to the department in day-to-day tasks.
  • Submitting and managing documentation on internal and external platforms.
  • Liaising with external entities (authorities, registries) and coordinating with internal teams.
  • Organising and maintaining physical and digital filing systems.
  • Controlling and updating internal records, such as corporate records and powers of attorney.
  • Monitoring legal and regulatory deadlines.
  • Drafting templates and standardised documents.
  • Conducting legal research and preparing briefing notes.

Your profile:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law (business or economic law preferred).
  • Fluency in English is mandatory.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proactive, with the ability to anticipate needs.
  • Strong communication skills and ease in interpersonal relationships.
  • Autonomous and responsible, with a structured approach to work.
