Macquarie University's Faculty of Medicine, Health and Human Sciences is seeking a dynamic and visionary Lecturer to design, develop and help deliver the new Bachelor of Health Sciences major in Digital Health. About the Role
You will take the lead in designing the subjects within the Digital Health Major. You will craft a curriculum that is innovative, industry-relevant, and driven by proven, student-centred educational approaches. Your key responsibilities will include:
Provide academic leadership in the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of the Major in Digital Health.
Ensure alignment between unit learning outcomes, teaching activities and assessments within the Major and across the Bachelor of Health Sciences program; contribute to quality assurance and accreditation processes relevant to the Major; and advise on resourcing and improvements to support effective delivery and a positive student experience.
Design and write unit outlines, learning outcomes, assessments, and teaching materials that reflect contemporary best practice in health sciences and specifically digital health education.
Monitor academic quality and student progression, identifying and supporting students at risk in collaboration with the relevant Course Director.
Engage with students, staff, and industry partners to enhance the relevance, quality, and reputation of the Major.
Engage and contribute to a program of research on digital health.

The Bachelor of Health Sciences is an innovative and versatile new degree that equips students with foundational health knowledge and specialist skills through interdisciplinary Majors. The Digital Health is one of four Majors and will prepare graduates to improve healthcare delivery and outcomes through technology, addressing some of the most pressing challenges facing the health system today. This role will be based with the Australian Institute of Health Innovation, providing a rich opportunity for the candidate to undertake a digital health research program.

About You (Selection Criteria)
You are an innovative educator with deep expertise in health sciences and a strong understanding of the digital health landscape. You thrive on the challenge of building something new and are motivated by the opportunity to create a program that will genuinely shape the future of healthcare.
Doctoral qualification (PhD or equivalent) in health sciences, digital health, public health, health informatics, or a closely related discipline.
Demonstrated experience in curriculum design and development at the tertiary level, ideally including the creation of new programs or major course revisions.
Teaching and research track record in digital health with knowledge of digital health concepts, including health data systems, health informatics, digital health governance, and emerging technologies in healthcare.
A commitment to quality assurance, continuous improvement, and student success.
The ability to provide academic leadership and foster collaboration across teaching teams, including industry and clinical partners.
Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to lead complex initiatives from concept to delivery.
