The expected pay (or pay range) for this position is $5,833 - $8,333/month
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience, and in the range $70,000 – $100,000/year.
Lecturer Position (1 year term) in Marketing at the University of British Columbia
The Faculty of Management at the University of British Columbia (UBC) Okanagan campus invites applications for a one-year 0.625 full-time equivalent Lecturer appointment. The anticipated start date for the position is July 1, 2026, or a mutually agreed upon date. We are inviting applications from candidates with expertise in marketing.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess:
Near completion or completion of a PhD in Marketing from an AACSB or EQUIS accredited business school;
Demonstrated teaching excellence in marketing;
Demonstrated communication skills, and ability to convey ideas clearly;
Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and a track record of contributing positively to a work environment;
Demonstrated commitment to professional, undergraduate, graduate, and post-doctoral education;
Demonstrated commitment and ability to actively participate in collegial internal and external service, events and initiatives.
A commitment to the principles of Equity Diversity, and Inclusion;
Duties include: teaching in our undergraduate and graduate programs; as well as contributing to other teaching and administrative initiatives of the Faculty of Management. The candidate will be expected to teach 5 courses (or course-equivalents) over the 12-month period:
6 credits of COMM_O 365 Market Research
3 credits of COMM_O 366 Social Media Strategy
6 credits of MGMT_O 522 Digital Marketing
Lecturer positions are appointments without review (i.e., non-tenure track) with the possibility of renewal for successive terms, subject to availability of funding and demonstration of excellence in teaching in accordance with the Collective Agreement between UBC and the UBC Faculty Association.
