The expected pay (or pay range) for this position is $7,500 - $12,500/month
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience, and in the range $90,000 – $150,000/year.
Lecturer Position (1 year term) in Logistics, Supply Chain, and Business Analytics at the University of British Columbia
The Faculty of Management at the University of British Columbia (UBC) Okanagan campus invites applications for a one-year 0.875 full-time equivalent Lecturer appointment. The anticipated start date for the position is July 1, 2026, or a mutually agreed upon date. We are inviting applications from candidates with expertise in at least one of the areas of logistics, supply chain, and business analytics.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess:
Near completion or completion of a PhD in logistics, supply chain, and/or business analytics from an AACSB or EQUIS accredited business school; preference will be proven expertise in business analytics;
Demonstrated teaching excellence in logistics, supply chain, and business analytics;
Demonstrated communication skills, and ability to convey ideas clearly;
Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and a track record of contributing positively to a work environment;
Demonstrated commitment to professional, undergraduate and graduate education;
Demonstrated commitment and ability to actively participate in collegial internal and external service, events and initiatives.
A commitment to the principles of Equity Diversity, and Inclusion;
Duties include: teaching in our undergraduate and graduate programs; as well as contributing to other teaching and administrative initiatives of the Faculty of Management. The candidate will be expected to teach seven courses (or course-equivalents) over the 12-month period:
9 credits of COMM_O 204 Logistics and Operations Management
6 credits of MGMT_O 525 Supply Chain Management
6 credits of either COMM_O 414 Data Visualization and Business Analytics or MGMT_O 521 Business Analytics
Lecturer positions are appointments without review (i.e., non-tenure track) with the possibility of renewal for successive terms, subject to availability of funding and demonstration of excellence in teaching in accordance with the Collective Agreement between UBC and the UBC Faculty Association.
