[What the role is]
This is a 2-year contract position as a Lecturer, Digital Skills in the School of Humanities & Interdisciplinary studies.[What you will be working on]
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Academic Delivery & Curriculum
Design and deliver courses in Digital Skills (face‑to‑face and online), facilitate and supervise student projects in digitalisation and automation, and contribute to curriculum and project development for youth and adult learners. Teaching may include evening or weekend sessions and overseas student engagements.
Student & Project Supervision
Guide applied student projects, ensuring strong linkage between theory, practice, and real‑world digital solutions.
Industry & Stakeholder Engagement
Identify and lead collaborations and initiatives with industry partners, government agencies, social enterprises, community organisations, and institutes of higher learning.
Process Automation & Digitalisation
Work with academic and administrative teams to map workflows, design and implement end‑to‑end digital and automation solutions, including portals, tracking systems, dashboards, and workflow automations. Support testing, documentation, training, and handover to ensure sustainability.
Capability Building & Support
Develop user‑friendly documentation and training materials, conduct onboarding and training for non‑technical users, and provide ongoing support to enable successful adoption of digital solutions.
[What we are looking for]
Relevant tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
Proven capability to apply innovative, technology‑enabled and multidisciplinary pedagogical approaches to enhance teaching and learning.
Hands‑on experience in designing and implementing digital solutions within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including Power Platform and SharePoint Online
Ability to partner with non‑technical stakeholders to analyse processes, identify automation opportunities, and translate requirements into secure, scalable solutions
Strong project management, collaboration, and communication skills, with experience working in agile, cross‑functional environments.
