Lecturer (Chemical Engineering) / Centre for Urban Sustainability
[What you will be working on]
- Develop curriculum and deliver training courses related to chemical engineering and sciences.
- Support course administration and coordinate subjects/programmes effectively.
- Undertake research and consultancy projects in areas such as speciality chemicals, materials technology, urban sustainability, or related fields.
- Leverage industry networks to foster collaborations and create meaningful learning opportunities for students.
- Lead applied research projects and supervised students in these initiatives.
- Provide pastoral care and mentorship to support students’ academic and personal development.
- Contribute to polytechnic-wide and school-wide events or activities as part of community engagement.
[What we are looking for]
- Higher tertiary qualification in Chemical Engineering or an equivalent discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant industry or research experience in chemical engineering or a related field.
- Proven track record in innovation, creativity, and interdisciplinary collaborations.
- Strong interest in applied research and student training.
- Resourceful and independent, with the ability to meet deadlines and deliver results.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with diverse audiences.
