Lecturer (Aerospace Electronics) / School of Engineering
[What you will be working on]
- Deliver lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions across core aerospace engineering disciplines, including engineering fundamentals, avionics, and aircraft-related systems.
- Review, design, and develop subject curricula, assessment components, and instructional delivery strategies.
- Supervise students’ internships, final-year projects, and other major academic projects.
- Collaborate with local and overseas industry partners or educational institutions to plan and lead staff and student projects, learning journeys, and overseas programmes.
- Organise and contribute to polytechnic-wide events, outreach activities, and student development initiatives.
- Support teaching and academic activities outside normal office hours, where operationally required.
[What we are looking for]
- Qualifications in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, or a related discipline.
- At least three years of relevant industry experience in aerospace R&D, MRO, or related sectors.
- Passed or willing to obtain CAAS SAR‑66 Modules M3 to M5 to qualify as a certified instructor for SAR‑related curriculum subjects.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for teaching and mentoring youth.
- Self‑motivated and adaptable, with the ability to work across disciplines.
- A collaborative mindset and experience working effectively in diverse teams.
- Experience in space‑related engineering, artificial intelligence, and/or possession of relevant industry certifications or professional memberships in aerospace engineering would be advantageous.
