The Lead Learning Management Administrator plays a pivotal role in driving the success of our organization’s learning management system (LMS) and related technologies. This position not only ensures seamless daily operations, maintenance, and support, but also guides the work for a team of LMS administrators, overseeing a strategic, comprehensive roadmap of system enhancements.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Guidance: Direct and mentor a team of LMS administrators, sharing expertise and best practices to ensure consistent, high-quality support and system management. Serve as the team’s primary point of contact for guidance on LMS changes and improvements.
Strategic Roadmap Oversight: Develop, maintain, and execute a comprehensive roadmap for LMS enhancements. Prioritize and orchestrate system upgrades, feature implementations, and process improvements in alignment with organizational goals and business needs.
LMS Strategy & Best Practices: Define and refine best practices for LMS usage, optimizing system capabilities for stability, scalability, and ease of maintenance.
System Administration: Oversee user accounts, enrollments, security settings, and system configurations, ensuring smooth daily operations and accessibility.
Continuous Improvement: Monitor system usage, evaluate new LMS features and industry trends, and proactively implement enhancements to optimize user and learner experience.
Maintenance & Upgrades: Coordinate system updates, upgrades, and performance monitoring to ensure security and reliability.
Technical Support: Oversee portfolio of items needing support across Client Education and with partner teams, guiding decision criteria, overseeing LMS administrator customer support to ensure alignment to customer satisfaction expectations. Provide expert technical assistance, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with IT and vendors to resolve complex problems.
Content & Course Management: Configure courses, upload learning materials, and manage assignments and learning paths, ensuring content is accessible and engaging.
Reporting & Data Analysis: Oversee the generation, analysis, and distribution of reports on system usage and training effectiveness, maintaining data accuracy and compliance.
Training & Knowledge Sharing: Develop and deliver training for staff and administrators, fostering LMS adoption and proficiency. Lead knowledge-sharing initiatives within the LMS administration team.
Collaboration & Integration: Partner with stakeholders across departments (e.g., Customer Service, PODs, Salesforce, additional Training teams) to gather requirements, design learning programs, and integrate the LMS with other systems to enhance learning experiences.
Client Education Services is a vital part of Freddie Mac’s Seller Strategy & Optimization department, dedicated to elevating the customer experience by directly addressing the evolving needs of our Seller Servicers. Our team specializes in creating dynamic, engaging learning opportunities that empower Seller Servicers to thrive in partnership with Freddie Mac. Through a blend of interactive live sessions and convenient self-service resources, we simplify the adoption of Freddie Mac’s innovative technology solutions, process enhancements, and policy updates. By making education accessible and actionable, we enable Seller Servicers to operate with confidence and efficiency, ensuring seamless business interactions with Freddie Mac.
In this role, you will be responsible for cultivating an immersive learning experience that fosters adoption of Freddie Mac products and policies. You will implement, maintain, and ensure access to high quality training resources across Freddie Mac's Learning Management System and associated learning tools and other digital sites, with an emphasis on expanding use of our LMS and offering learning experiences that delight our customers.
Bachelor’s degree with 8-10 years of relevant experience
Proven leadership experience, with the ability to collaborate and guide the work of others.
Advanced proficiency with LMS platforms and related learning technologies with 4-5 years' experience administrating complex LMS systems.
Quick learner of content management, learning development, and video creation tools (e.g., Articulate, Camtasia, online help platforms).
Knowledge of learning development best practices, accessibility standards, and system integrations.
Ability to develop and execute strategic roadmaps for system enhancements.
Technical expertise in HTML, SCORM/AICC standards, and SSO protocols (SAML/OAuth2).
Experience with code and release deployment, testing best practices, and balancing risk with business outcomes.
Familiarity with AI prompting and integration of artificial intelligence in learning technologies.
Deep understanding of user and learner experience principles, with the ability to translate system features into meaningful learning outcomes.
Proficiency in prototyping and process management using tools such as Figma, PowerPoint, and Visio.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, and people skills.
Exceptional attention to detail in data management and reporting.
Security-focused mindset for protecting user data and ensuring compliance.
Passion for learning new technologies and establishing best practices for using learning management tools.

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $124,000 - $186,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
