How This Role Impacts Live Oak and its People 

This individual will support the execution and delivery of breakthrough learning experiences and development initiatives designed to increase individual and organizational capability. The Learning and Development Specialist leads with a human-centered approach and is a champion and subject matter expert for facilitating change. Putting our people first creates pathways for cross-functional leaders and teams to achieve established objectives and key results. 

   

What You’ll Do at Live Oak 

  • Create data-driven development programs that align with the organization’s strategic objectives and support our mission. 
  • Collaborate and consult with cross-functional business leaders and teams to design and deliver tailored learning and development solutions. 
  • Serve as a trusted expert and partner by exercising subject matter expertise in change management, project management, and design thinking. 
  • Facilitate effective training and development programming in multiple environments, including in-person and hybrid settings. 
  • Contribute meaningfully to our people strategy by promoting the adoption of the mindsets, skillsets, and toolsets that support growth and change. 
  • Establish and maintain performance evaluation methods for training content, delivery, activities, engagement, and outcomes. 
  • Evaluate performance, skills, and knowledge to identify gaps and suggest training to enhance individual and bank-wide capabilities and performance. 
  • Recommend and develop employee engagement programs in coordination with the Executive team and other functions. 
  • Partner with internal subject matter experts and external vendors to achieve defined learning and development objectives. 
  • Advise and support managers in curating and implementing career development plans and career pathing. 
  • Manage, track, and report on all compliance and regulatory training activities, ensuring accurate completion records, timely escalations, and audit‑ready documentation aligned with organizational, industry, and legal requirements.
  • Maintain a high standard of regulatory awareness including BSA, AML, CIP, and OFAC

Required Experience 

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a related field or 3-5+ years of relevant experience with demonstrated expertise and work autonomy. 
  • Experience developing programs and platforms that engage large-scale audiences and serve various cross-functional stakeholders. 
  • Understanding and application of project management and change management concepts.   
  • Experience with a range of leading market solutions in the realm of learning management, including Workday Learning, Brainshark, LinkedIn Learning, and/or another LMS. 
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work in an ambiguous and dynamic environment. 
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly summarize complex issues and present recommendations. 
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate, inspire, and motivate others.

The base pay range for this position is $56,540.00 - $92,520.00 per year. Compensation may also include annual bonuses and long-term incentives, subject to various metrics and company policy. A candidate’s salary is determined by several factors including travel, relevant work experience or skills and expertise.
