ABOUT THIS JOB

The Learning and Development Analyst position at the City of Tucson’s Human Resources Department is responsible for assisting with planning, implementing, and tracking employee development programs. This role assists leadership in learning and development initiatives, reviewing developmental needs and supporting programs that enhance employee performance and engagement.  This assists with the creation of learning strategies, training logistics, and special program tracking.

Work is performed under the Supervision of the Learning and Development Human Resources Manager. This position does not supervise.
 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assists with developing and tracking of employee learning & development and city-wide engagement programs. Supports facilitation of human resources related training. Coordinates program logistics, the design of curricula, lessons, and content delivery for leadership, across all departments. Ensures accurate tracking outcomes for continuous improvement. 

  • Works in collaboration to continually improve training programs and content. Ensures accurate records are maintained, and attendance data is used for reporting and compliance purposes. Coordinates systems for registration, curriculum design, e-learning authoring. Participates in networking and training events.

  • Establishes priorities, offers support, keeps track of documentation and provides recommendations based on results. Organizes and tracks special programs and projects. Collaborates on various problem-solving, research, and solution recommendations. Assists with the development and execution of area goals and objectives. 

  • Researches information, compiles statistics, gathers, computes and analyzes data. Prepares special reports, summaries and replies to inquiries.  Reviews existing workflows and recommends methods to optimize systems and improve efficiency.  Assesses city-wide skills and knowledge gaps in learning through research and data analysis.

  • Coordinates and supports Community Outreach initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and fostering positive relationships with local stakeholders.  Assists in the planning, communication, execution, and evaluation of programs aimed at engaging and benefiting the community.

  • Provides written correspondence and reports. Responds to internal and external inquiries.  Serves on project teams.

  • Performs other duties and task as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor's degree.

Experience: One (1) year of relevant experience.
