Boeing South Carolina (BSC) Fabrication is looking for a motivated team member to join the fabrication program as a Lean Practitioner. You'd be joining during a critical time to support the production system. You'll be working directly with our Manufacturing teams to improve Safety, Quality, Flow and Stability within one of the Manufacturing Business Units at the BSC Orangeburg Campus.
The successful candidate must be able to assist operations and other support functions in improving their business. This Will include, establishing and deploying 5S standards, Improving Employee Involvement Forums across the manufacturing business unit and utilization of lean tools to lead and support various level of continuous improvement activity.
The Successful candidate demonstrates the Boeing Values and Behaviors and has communication skills that allow them to effectively partner at the shop floor as well as leadership levels within the Business.
Primary Responsibilities:
Assists and Instructs others in continuous improvement tools and principles
Assists in formatting updated training materials
Leads and facilitates (Lean tool certified) process improvement efforts
Supports advanced continuous improvement tool application
Participates in strategy development
Comfortable working directly with Senior Managers and First Line Leaders and contribute to Director level strategies
Coaches others on BPS Training facilitation
Supports MBU Kamishibai
Supports 5S Activities
Supports One BPS Transformation Assessments
Leads Value Stream Mapping
Leads BPSM and RSPS
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work on-site at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
3+ years’ of Aerospace, Fabrication, or Manufacturing experience
3+ years’ experience establishing Lean manufacturing and/or continuous improvement practices and tools in the workplace
3+ years’ experience with analyzing data and generating metrics reports
3+ year of experience with Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
5+ years of 787 Program Experience
5+ years’ team leadership (Formal/Informal) experience
5+ years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

This position is for variable shift (shift 4). Variable shift means you will be assigned a shift at the time of hire based on business needs. You will remain on your assigned work shift until re-evaluation is required. Shifts assigned for training may differ from your permanent work shift.
