Position Summary
We are seeking a Cost Leader—a strong, independent professional who combines exceptional financial acumen with advanced Lean expertise. This role is critical to driving the execution of our cost-reduction strategy, ensuring measurable results across all cost-improvement projects. The Cost Leader will be accountable for delivering $11M in savings through active project management, validating financial impact, and sustaining improvements across the site.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Cost-Reduction Initiatives: Drive execution of all cost-improvement projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and measurable outcomes.
Lead and communicate with all stakeholders’ cross-functionally in resourcing, executing, project management, performance reporting and decision-making process.
Lead and train site on all existing and new CI methodologies and best practices.
As a core member of the Operational Excellence team, this person will drive OpEx deployment at the plant.
This individual should be a strong team player with highly developed communication and presentation skills.
Validate Financial Impact: Analyze ROI, confirm savings, and connect Lean actions to P&L performance.
Lean Leadership: Serve as a Lean Expert, coaching teams and leading Kaizen, TPM, and other continuous improvement initiatives.
Project Execution: Maintain disciplined follow-up on deliverables, timelines, and results to ensure successful implementation.
Performance Tracking: Develop and present dashboards, Obeya reviews, and progress reports to leadership.
Sustain Results: Embed cost-reduction practices into daily operations to maintain long-term improvements.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Engineering, Business, or related field; MBA preferred.
Experience:
Proven track record in cost-reduction and Lean implementation within manufacturing or operations.
Minimum 7+ years in financial analysis and continuous improvement roles.
Certifications: Lean Expert or Six Sigma Black Belt strongly preferred.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong financial acumen with ability to link operational actions to P&L impact.
Advanced Lean knowledge; capable of coaching and leading improvement events.
Self-starter with high ownership and urgency; thrives without micromanagement.
Results-driven with focus on OEE, scrap reduction, labor productivity, and CTW savings.
Excellent communication and influencing skills; confident presenting to senior leadership.
