The Role:  Lead, Quality Engineering.

The Team:

WSO QA team is responsible for ensuring Quality delivery to technical and business professionals with the S&P Global WSO product suite. This includes participating in product testing, product documentation, and providing feedback to the product teams.

The role would need individual to transform testing into a continuous and efficient end-to-end quality engineering function using quality processes, tools, and methodologies significantly improving control, accuracy and integrity.

The ideal candidate should possess excellent grip on programming language and creation & maintenance Automation Frameworks for frontend, backend and API based products, well versed with BFSI domain.

  • Responsibilities:
    • Test software and content to ensure changes and additions meet business expectations without negatively affecting the existing workflows/reports.
    • Develop or assist in creation of test plans and automated tests from the ground up to improve the overall efficiency of the feature area team.
    • Assist software engineers and product owners with troubleshooting and improving code reliability and delivery processes to ensure smooth development throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Liaise with product test managers and test stakeholders to plan and prioritize tasks in a timely and transparent manner.
    • Bring a passion to stay on top of current trends, experiment with and learn new technologies, participate in internal & external technology communities, and mentor other members of the engineering community.
    • Encourage innovation, implementation of cutting-edge technologies, outside-of-the-box thinking, teamwork, and self-organization.
    • Leverage agentic AI and GitHub Copilot features to optimize productivity and cost-effectiveness, with an emphasis on managing premium request counts.
    • Use acceptance testing tools such as Reqnroll in conjunction with AI to generate comprehensive scenario coverage and address gaps.
    • Incorporate continuous testing practices to maintain quality at every stage of development.
    • Implement performance testing using AI-based tools to simulate user behavior and assess application performance.
    • Develop and apply defect prediction models leveraging AI and historical data to proactively identify potential defects.
    • Conduct data-driven testing utilizing large datasets and AI to enhance validation of application functionality.
    • Employ AI-based visual testing tools to ensure UI consistency across devices and browsers.
    • Automate regression testing using AI to ensure new changes do not impact existing functionality.
    • Prioritize and perform risk-based testing by leveraging AI to identify and focus on high-risk areas of the application.
    • Apply natural language processing (NLP) techniques to analyze requirements and automatically generate test cases from user stories or specifications.
    • Utilize AI-driven reporting and analytics to generate actionable insights from testing data, thereby enhancing decision-making processes.
    • Explore and implement other innovative AI use cases for understanding, developing, and testing key areas of work.
  • What We’re Looking For:
    • Education level – Engineering Graduate.
    • Year of Experience – 10 to 13 years.
    • Experience with Azure DevOps and working with Agile teams.
    • Hands-on exposure in Syndicated Loan domain, BFSI Domain.
    • Technologies: C# .NET, .NET Core, JavaScript, PowerShell, Python, REST, GIT.
    • Automation: Webdriver.io, SpecFlow/ReqnRoll.
    • Tools: JMeter, API Playground, Azure DevOps, Visual Studio, Axios, Microsoft SQL Server.
    • Solid knowledge of API testing (Rest APIs) and proven experience in API automation using tools such as Axios and similar frameworks.
    • Preferred skills: Fair understanding of AWS services like S3 Buckets, EC2, Lambda, Cloud Formation, AMIs etc.
    • Key Soft Skills: Self-motivated, team player, strong written & verbal communication.
    • Experience with Power BI and usage of ADO pipelines.
    • Expertise with agentic AI, including practical knowledge of how to leverage GitHub Copilot and other AI-based tools in a cost-effective manner.
    • Familiarity with AI-powered testing approaches such as acceptance, performance, data-driven, regression, risk-based, and visual testing, as well as experience with continuous testing practices.
    • Demonstrated ability to develop and utilize AI-driven defect prediction models and apply NLP techniques for test case generation.
    • Proficiency in using AI-driven analytics for actionable reporting and continuous improvement.
    • Demonstrated ability to leverage AI not just in automation, but also as an aid in understanding, developing, and testing complex software systems and areas of work.
