The Senior/Lead Researcher at Missionforce Agentforce Public Sector is responsible for driving impactful research that informs product design, development, and business strategy. This role focuses on translating complex problems into clear, actionable insights that guide decision-making across cross-functional teams. The role requires a strong passion for technology and a deep understanding of user needs, challenges, and behaviors. By maintaining a user-centric mindset, the researcher ensures that products deliver meaningful, high-quality experiences that address real-world problems.

This position leverages a broad range of research methodologies, combining innovative and emerging approaches with proven, established techniques. The role also draws on existing research across the organization to synthesize insights and deliver cohesive narratives that support alignment and execution. Success in this role depends on the ability to balance research excellence with strong collaboration and operational rigor. The researcher works seamlessly across disciplines, partnering closely with product, design, engineering, and partner/customer stakeholders to ensure insights are actionable, timely, and impactful.

In this role, you will lead strategic and tactical research that shapes the Missionforce vision, enabling world-class public sector agencies to deliver AI-first, unified, and highly tailored experiences across all digital touchpoints.
This role requires developing a deep understanding of—and advocating for—Missionforce users, including public sector leaders, program owners, case workers, administrators, and constituents. By translating user needs and operational constraints into actionable insights, you will influence product direction and ensure solutions address the unique requirements of regulated, mission-critical public sector environments.

Key Responsibilities & Impact

  • Scope and drive research projects that inform product strategy, design, and development, in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Conduct generative and evaluative research using a mixture of research methods (surveys, unmoderated testing, interviews, moderated concept testing, etc.)

  • Synthesize research findings into actionable insights, creating narratives to frame problems and highlight the business value of recommended solutions 

  • Socialize insights with cross-functional stakeholders to influence their decision-making

  • Partner fully with product owners, designers, engineers, sales and distribution teams to provide the best possible experience for our users and customers.

  • Work on fast-paced projects, requiring attention to detail and working within constrained timelines.

Required Qualifications:

  • 9+ years of proven track record influencing user experience and/or product direction with actionable insights

  • Hands-on experience conducting research in user experience or product design contexts

  • Ability to plan, design, and execute foundational, generative, and evaluative research engagements

  • Strong understanding of research methods (qualitative and quantitative) and best practices, and familiarity with a broad range of user research tools

  • Experience working in cross-functional teams (e.g. design, product management, engineering)

  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills

  • Excellent project management, communication, and presentation skills

  • Ability to work with a globally dispersed team (including some management and stakeholders based in Europe and North America), and conduct some synchronous, remote research with participants

Preferred: 

  • Ideally seeking Bangalore or Hyderabad-based

  • Previous research experience in enterprise SaaS and/or technology

  • Ability to structure and lead internal and external workshops or design studios and analyze the outcomes to provide insight for stakeholders

  • Comfort with basic statistical methods and concepts, and experience working with behavioral signals data
